This build runs without an account: everything stays on this device and every feature is available.

AI

200 requests a day included

Your plan includes 200 AI requests a day on our house model, ready to use with no setup. One request is one AI action: abbreviate a cue, one coaching pass, draft three ideas, or rewrite one card.

Want more, or a particular model? Add your own OpenRouter key below. Requests on your key run on the model you choose, are billed by OpenRouter to you at cost, and do not count against the daily allowance. The key stays in this browser.

Using your own key: what OpenRouter is and how to set it up

What it is. OpenRouter is a single account that can talk to the AI models from OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), xAI and others through one key. Think of it as a universal adapter: TalkSketch plugs into OpenRouter, and OpenRouter plugs into whichever model you choose.

When your own key makes sense. You are a heavy user who would get through more than 200 requests a day, you want a specific model such as the latest Claude or GPT for the card rewrites, or you simply prefer to see every request on your own OpenRouter dashboard. You pay the provider’s price directly, with no markup. Most people never need this.

Set-up, about three minutes.
  1. Go to openrouter.ai and sign up (Google, GitHub or e-mail).
  2. Open Credits and add a small prepaid amount, $5 to $10 is plenty to start. Optionally set a monthly spending limit there.
  3. Open Keys, create a key named TalkSketch, and copy it. It starts with sk-or-v1-.
  4. Paste it below, choose models if you like, then press Save and Test. Remove it at any time to go back to the included allowance.

What it costs. Prices are shown per million tokens (a million tokens is roughly 750,000 words). In practice: abbreviating a cue costs a fraction of a cent, a coaching pass a cent or two, rewriting a slide with a top model a few cents. A full evening of work on a conference deck usually comes to well under a dollar.

Choosing models. Leave the default on a current mid-size model such as Claude Sonnet or the GPT equivalent. Give Tweak a slide the strongest model you are happy paying for, and put Abbreviate on a small “mini” or “nano” model, which is fast and nearly free. Models tagged new were listed in the last 45 days.

Privacy. Your key is stored with your account and only ever used on TalkSketch’s server; this page shows just its last four characters. The text of the speech you are working on is sent to the model you chose and nothing else. Remove the key here at any time, or revoke it on OpenRouter.

Optional. A note in your own words that every AI feature reads before it answers: tone, audience, spelling, what to leave alone. It sits behind TalkSketch’s coaching rules, so the map format and the limits still hold. Leave it blank for the standard coach.
